Our impact is both immediate and long-term.

Since our founding in 1997, The Harbus Foundation has donated about $1,100,000 to over eighty organizations in and around Boston in the areas of education, literacy, and journalism. To view a list of past grant recipients, please refer to the 'For NON-PROFITS' section. Along the way, the Foundation has provided over 400 Harvard Business School students with hands-on education in grantmaking and the challenges facing nonprofits.

"The Harbus Foundation was sincerely interested in our organization. They really gained an intimate understanding of the role we play in expanding educational opportunities for the Boston community. It’s clear the Foundation wants to produce tangible results and expand the reach of grantee organizations."
Ian Lane
Co-Director, Minds Matter of Boston (2005 recipient)

“In exposing so many different types of students to nonprofit work during their MBA, the Foundation is expanding the number of future business leaders who will dedicate some if not all of their lives to nonprofit work.”
Kate Randall
Harvard Business School Class of 2008
